This was a companion webpage to my computer programming classes here in Hong Kong I was starting seven years back. At the time I was looking for an easy accessible platform that allowed me to publish and maintain materials fast and efficient. The only way to interact with me here were messages you could send me.
Time has moved on, as have my students. Now I am also teaching an older crowd, they are looking for more interactive content and participation besides more ways to make projects. Therefore I have decided to move this site to three platforms:
kidscoderepo uses the same url as this post used to have and is now a blog which leads the children through the year, one post for every class that requires guidance. Then there is a static site with GitHub Pages that provides additional information and starter code, it is still in the makings.
Finally, there is code2run showing code snippets and project ideas I have created myself. You will also find introductions of tools and literature on teaching computing as well as other related materials. All these invite for comments as well.
In the coming weeks the content here will disappear one by one and being moved to code2run. Have a look there, code2run is already running for two years and a lot of new materials are already available.
Thanks for stopping by here!
